The War on Drugs

The war on drugs is one that has lasted for many years. Lately, Fentanyl has been a big problem in America killing a large number of American citizens. The CDC reported 73,000 total drug overdose deaths from May 2024-April 2025 . So the Trump administration has decided to get to the heart of the problem. Recently they have decided to strike boats carrying these drugs. Many conservatives are happy that something is finally being done to stop the epidemic. Trump said during his announcement I believe on October 16th 2025 when asked why instead destroying these ships why they wouldn't just arrest the people on these boats. He said , said they have been doing it that way for 30 plus years and that way was not working. So , he said we needed to try something new. That the boats are usually too fast. Not only are strikes occurring in the water, there are talks about possible land strikes. I woke up this morning and read that planes are being sent to certain parts of Venezuela now to try and stop the distribution of drugs to America.
